Artist - Jared Guy

I was born in Ballarat & have lived here all my life. My mother taught me a lot about my culture when I was growing up, & so did the local Aboriginal community who always showed & shared their knowledge. While working with Aboriginal youth, teaching them about culture, & supporting them to discover more of their heritage, I realised I had some talent for art.

I started painting, carving, wood burning & much more, & now have become confident with my abilities. When I do my artwork, I use my emotions, and this is what guides me. My art is healing & about my life.
